Stranger in an Even Stranger Land

I usually don’t comment on my own work, but sometimes I like creating silent (or, in this case, nearly silent) pages. They can be challenging, but great fun to draw.

On a different note, my husband and I plan to check out “Star Trek Into The Darkness” this weekend. Unlike my dear husband, I was never a big Star Trek fan as kid. I liked it well enough, but it wasn’t really my thing—maybe because it was a bit too cerebral for me at the time. But I started appreciating the show more as I got older.

To be honest, my favorite Star Trek movie isn’t a Star Trek movie at all, but the documentary “Trekkies”. The shots of Trek fan Richard Kronfeld trucking down the street in his homemade Captain Pike life support unit replica while sporting a trapper hat are some of the most memorable images on film I’ve ever seen.

Take care,
